We’re proud of our integration with leading property management systems. Our partners use the PointCentral offering to provide a fully integrated solution powering an integrated smart home experience.

This month we spoke with Mike Norde, Third Party Relationship Manager and Sr. Marketing Specialist at Streamline to find out more about Streamline’s software services, how they’re using smart home automation, and how they’ve successfully navigated their way through a challenging year.

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Streamline.

My name is Mike Norde and I’m the Third Party Relationship Manager and Sr. Marketing Specialist at Streamline. I wear many hats, but on the integration side, I’m responsible for connecting with new partners, contracts, and co-marketing for current partners.

Tell us a bit more about Streamline’s offer and the services you provide for your property managers.

Streamline is the industry’s premier all-in-one software for enterprise level vacation rental companies and those looking to grow quickly. The core pillars of our software are the CRM, Trust Accounting Suite, Revenue Management Tools/Services, Property Care/Guest/Owner Apps, Best-In-Class Direct Integrations, and Customer Care.

We’re excited to partner with you to help property managers delight owners and guests alike. What excites you most about our joint offering?

PointCentral has provided value to our clients for many years and continues to be a market leader when it comes to innovative solutions. When our clients sign with PointCentral, we know they’re getting a tried and tested home automation solution.

The benefits of smart technology across the vacation rental industry are now widely recognised. Why should property managers be adopting smart tech now more than ever?

The main reasons are: safety; efficiency; and to offer the best experience for guests.

How are your customers using PointCentral products and services in order to better do their job?

Partnering with PointCentral is one less thing to worry about for our property managers. It saves them time, money, and creates a better guest experience.

The past year has brought many challenges to the industry. What has been your biggest challenge, and how have you tackled it?

The toughest challenge was helping our clients navigate the initial spring 2020 shutdown. Some clients are still dealing with shutdowns and the fall out from the first shutdown. The next challenge has been helping our clients navigate the incredible surge in demand as a result of pent-up demand and the appeal of vacation rentals as a safe accommodation option. For our company, our transition to working virtually was seamless. The hardest part has been not being able to connect with co-workers (many of them friends) face to face on a daily basis.

What advice would you give to property managers and the wider vacation rental community as they navigate the year ahead?

Network with other property managers.

Everything we have learned as a company comes from both listening to our clients and the fact that our CEO, Carlos Corzo, is a property manager himself. Talk to other property managers and share best practices. Organizations like VRMA, VRMIntel and VRMB all help facilitate those relationships.

What’s next for Streamline?

Streamline’s investment continues to be on Customer Service/Education, innovation, and the UI interface. Our goal is always to empower our clients to use the system for all the ways it can save time, save money, and generate revenue. Our clients enjoy the continued discovery of what our system is capable of!
